Cheap and ecological lawn mower recommendation

Hi money saving experts,
Can anyone recommend a cheap and easy to use quality lawn mower?
I want something that will last, and won't harm the wildlife in my garden. I have frogs, snails, and the odd hedgehog!

I don't know of any mower which would not harm frogs, snails and hedgehogs.  Its up to the driver to avoid these as the blades cut anything that gets in the way, even grass.

Keeping the grass to a reasonable length will make frogs and the like less likely to use it as shelter (except when very small).  Using a push-mower you'd have no choice but to keep it a reasonable length.
