Sorry nanny...On the plus side I see lots of posts on FB about elderly shoppers being helped, it's just the newspapers that are making a meal out of the incidents where they aren't...And oops, it's actually Thursday isn't it? Losing my marbles here.....:)Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Hi everyone
Just back from checking on my mam and dad who are both fine....though dad is missing watching his horse racing and putting a bet on!
Busy day at work....lots of questions we can't answer, but our nursery closes tomorrow...who knows how long for.
Little grand daughter's operation next week was cancelled about half an hour after arrangements had been made. She is in hospital now though as she pulled her feeding tube out this morning. They've decided to do blood sugar tests while she is there so they will be in overnight. DD sent a photo of her looking very pleased with herself waving the tube!
Hope everyone is ok

Evening everybody,
Still all well here, DD3 did some shopping for us this morning so we have lots of food. It's strange not to be out and about but we are being very good about what we should do........I miss my grandchildren, but it's better to be sure than sorry.
The second last of my father's generation died last Friday, she was 94 and had been in hospital for several weeks.......there is only one of that generation left now, he was 90 in January.
It doesn't seem right not planning for holidays at present, nor teenagers preparing for exams, officially schools are only closed until 29th but no doubt that will change before long as cases escalate......DD4 is working on line with her classes, something not very easy with two lively four year olds and a very lively three year old, SIL has been able to take some special leave but not sure for how long.
My new washing machine is to come tomorrow morning, DS3 will fit it on Saturday, we haven't got a huge amount of washing waiting to be done but it will be nice to have a working machine.....I reckon that the old one was at least fifteen years old, which is not bad at all.
I hope that everyone who is suffering the effects of Covid19 will have relief soon and that we can return to our normal chat. Take care of yourselves.
