Air Canada flight

Hi I have a booked flight with Air Canada paid on Tesco Credit Card. Airline won’t refund all the money ( only taxes) only change flight. They haven’t cancelled flight but amended it too indirect via Toronto ( no UK are allowed in the country). If anyone can help just wondered if I can claim under section 75? I have travel insurance but they say refer to airline.
