Restaurants promoting vouchers due to Covid-19

I've started receiving emails from restaurant chains (Rossopomodoro, Inamo) asking customers to buy vouchers.
Has anyone else received any more of these from different chains? What are your thoughts?
Sorry if I've posted this on the wrong board... I wasn't sure where to post it.
- Rossopomodoro asking customers to buy vouchers for future use to help support the business during this difficult time.
- Inamo with a promotion that if you buy a £50 voucher you will get £25 for free.

I think it is a great idea. If you were planning on going to one of these restaurants in the next few weeks why not buy a voucher to cover the cost of that meal. It will help keep the restaurant open and ultimately save jobs. If it does go bust then you will lose your money but if you actually think about it you would have lost that money anyway. You're just not getting a meal in return for it :-)
I am very much of the view that as long as I am being paid my normal wage I will continue to contribute to society to help ensure we still have a society to return back to when this is over.

They’re doing this to try stop going bust. It’s a small amount to try keep them afloat and benefit the consumer later. If you don’t want to risk £50 to help keep your fave restaurant afloat, don’t. If you do, good on you3

I am keen to do this to help a couple of small independent restaurants that we regularly go to. Amazing restaurants that are we love and have got to know the owners well. Restaurants we would be absolutely gutted if they did not survive this. We did in fact have a reservation at one on 11 April so I'd like to use at least some of the money we would have spent there on a voucher. Not sure how long this situation will last but figure we can buy x amount each month. All being good it means we can have extra meals out when the old normal resumes.
What is the best way to do this to mitigate any risk - would I have any s75 protection if bought on credit card but spend over £100 each time?0 -
I have £150 of vouchers for a restaurant which has now gone into liquidation, can I claim on S75 They are valied until Dec.2020
