Auxillis court case for hire car

@Lucyloo22 How did your situation play out?
We are sadly going through the same sorry process as you were. We rather naively followed protocol thinking it was the right thing to do and now the other parties insurer has bulked at the cost of the hire. We wrongly assumed this was all normal practice - why wouldn't you?
We have 67 day hire and I fear it's going to cost us an arm and a leg. We feel like we've been scammed in vehicle valuation, courtesy car, you name it. We're getting done over. Insurance is supposed to put you back where you were before the accident, but it's doing nothing of the sort. We'll be significantly worse off if this court case doesn't fall in our favour.
I wish we never took the hire car.0 -
I too had a similar experience. After collecting the hire car I read the agreement a little more carefully. I thought about it for a day or two before decided I did not really "need" the car and took it back to the hire company.
Auxillis tried to pursue me for the cost. I told them to contact 3rd party and heard no more."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
