Parking Appeal Rejected, I have a POPLA CODE (HELP!)

As I've successfully appealed and got tickets cancelled before, I followed advice from this forum and appealed a ticket that I got (submitting evidence of payment against my NTK parking letter). I pay using my phone (using an area code), and I had 'paid' for my parking session. My appeal was rejected and I visited the parking place again, at which point I realised I got the parking location number wrong; so instead of ABCDEF, I put in ABDCEF. I have a POPLA code, but I don't quite know how to approach this. I am not willing to pay £100 for a session that I actually thought I had paid for.
The parking codes are very small on the big board it's printed on, and it's so easy to get it mixed up. What do I do? Shall I send a generic POPLA appeal or...? Please help. This is my first time in the POPLA stage. I've either always managed to get them cancelled at Stage 1, or just buckled and paid.

One option is to complain to the BPA and state you have not been offered the £20 option due to a major mis keying issue as detailed in the BPA CoP2

I've had a parking ticket for parking at the start of a road leading to a Sainsburys storage depot some 4/500 yards away . There was no sign at the start of the road. There was a sign approx 3/400 yards away on a bend which was just about seeable although at times it was partially hidden by hanging trees. Had there been a sign at the start of the road, I would not have parked there. Any thoughts.0

If transposing letters or numbers of a VRM is classed by the BPA as a minor typing error, I would suggest doing the same on a location code would also constitute a minor error not a major.Redx said:One option is to complain to the BPA and state you have not been offered the £20 option due to a major mis keying issue as detailed in the BPA CoP

Ok , so minor or major , nothing was offered except a popla code , a minor miskeying error such as this should have meant that the appeal was accepted
The OP is free to appeal to popla on the usual points plus this minor miskeying error if they so wish

Thank you, I'll add that into the POPLA letter. Tomorrow is day 28, so I need to hurry. Thank you for the link. I had no idea about the keying error issue. Do I put in a separate complaint to BPA, as well as POPLA? How do I do that?
My NTK and the rejection letterhead suggests its CarParkingPartnership but the text in my rejection letter suggests it's ParkingEye?
"Dear Sir / Madam,
Thank you for your correspondence in relation to the Parking Charge incurred on XXXX, at University Hospital Car Park XXX. We are writing to advise you that your recent appeal has been unsuccessful and that you have now reached the end of our internal appeals procedure. The evidence you have provided shows that the payment for parking was made at an invalid location, or via a payment service not connected to ParkingEye. As such, our records confirm that no parking was purchased on the date of the parking event, despite there being valid payment methods available on the day in question.
Please be advised: There is an independent appeals service (POPLA) which is available to motorists who have had an appeal rejected by a British Parking Association Approved Operator. The POPLA appeals form and contact information can be found enclosed. See also www.popla.co.uk. If you appeal to POPLA and your appeal is unsuccessful you will not be able to pay the discounted amount in settlement of the Parking Charge, you will be liable to pay the full amount. If you have already paid the reduced amount, the parking charge will be increased to the full amount and you will be liable to pay this increase. By law we are also required to inform you that Ombudsman Services (www.ombudsman-services.org/) provides an alternative dispute resolution service that would be competent to deal with your appeal. However, we have not chosen to participate in their alternative dispute resolution service. As such should you wish to appeal then you must do so to POPLA, as explained above. Payment can be made by telephoning our offices on 0330 900 7777, by visiting www.carparkingpartnership.co.uk/payments or by posting a cheque or postal order to Car Parking Partnership, PO Box 117, Blyth, NE24 9EJ. Yours faithfully, Car Parking Partnership Team"

Thank you, should I submit the pictures I took of the signage in the evidence box? Also when it says 'Always pick other', is this 'Other' from the start or is it 'Other' after selecting 'I was not improperly parked'?0

Choose other and upload the popla appeal as a pdf , plus any evidence like pictures , or embed them into the pdf
The normal method of complaints to the BPA is an online form on their website
PE own CPP but it's CPP you are dealing with if it's CPP listed on the PCN and on the signage0
