credit card instead of travel insurance?

Hi all I have booked flights for Spain for the last 2 weeks in August. Hopefully the Covid crisis will be over by then and I can fly. I didn't take out travel insurance at the time and it is too late now. If my flights are cancelled am I covered by Credit Card Protection? I think the relevant rules are Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act...

Yes, if the flights are cancelled by the airline. If you cancel then no.1

If your flights are cancelled by the airline they will offer you refund/rebooking. Only if they fail to do so would you need your card's S75 or chargeback provision.Evolution, not revolution0
