Do I pay or cancel?!

We have booked to go on a Princess cruise late July however our final payment of £4000 is due at the end of the month. I was going to get travel insurance before we paid the final amount but because we are docking at 4 Italian ports cannot get any. I do realise I made a massive mistake by not getting it when we booked but hindsight is a great thing! The problem is if the holiday is cancelled by the cruise company they will refund us but if we are ill and it’s all going ahead we lose our money. Don’t know whether to risk it and pay hoping this coronavirus has gone or cancel it now??
