Help converting files for Ipod Nano

Hi Guys - I'm normally found around the Bargain Buys and Sassy Shopping forums but I'm a techy at heart.
Just bought DD a new Ipod Nano 8GB and want to load it a bit for her. Am currently using DVD Shrink and Handbrake to create MV4 files.
Did "Finding Nemo", wacked it into ITunes and then into the (extremely cute) nano. Great.
Did the same with another film, then when viewed, it was Nemo again!
No comprendo. Have tried since and can't seem to drop the converted movie into ITunes - nothing happens. Any ideas anyone? I'm quite competent IT wise (not a bad cook either!) but this is driving me nuts.
A major gripe is the length of time Handbrake takes to convert a film (these are re-authored with no menus etc).
Does anyone have a suggestion re software that runs a bit quicker?

I use videoara too. Easy enough to use and you can convert more than one video at a time."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
