My Waitrose delivery arrived - lots of stuff not available: - butter, Coffee-Mate and baked beans. Couldn't even get their free 'Food' magazine though they sent a BBC Good Food magazine instead, free of charge. The missing items are not urgent so I'll look out for them later in the week. I opted for bags this time so that the delivery chap didn't have to bring the carts in and unpack. For 40p it was worth it.Builders are back downstairs so it's relatively quiet here apart from the odd hammering interlude. They came to collect tools early on so the room is starting to clear. Tomorrow the plasterer will do his bit too.Just had a call from the dental surgery to cancel my routine appointment for next week, that's only fair.DM is starting to email again, she went through a period of CBA but is now revitalised. Think it's the linseed bread I've been feeding her, it helps her dodgy digestion. I'm so pleased that I insisted on her learning to use an iPad and laptop many years ago. Now that's she bedbound the tablet is her lifeline to the world. Now I'm tying up some loose ends for my part part part time job for sport education courses as they are all stopping nationally. There have been a couple which finished just before the ban yesterday so they need dealing with.SNOOZER - I hope you can get back up to Yorkshire, the air is certainly much better and you'll be able to wander around without much contact with others.NANNY - keep clear of those beloved family members!DP1 - good to hear that the op is going ahead. I recall hearing that urgent ops (for cancer patients etc) will be prioritised. Fingers crossed that all's well.Thoughts are with everyone - we are all rowing the same boat, we mustn't let it sink.14

Afternoon all, hope you're all doing ok. Just put a beef stew in my IPot, picked up my meat pack from the butchers this morning. He has had lots of online orders and was looking pretty stressed, poor chap. One of our friends rang me yesterday to tell me about her trip to Lid l when there was nothing in the freezers. She also rang me on Monday - I think she is feeling very anxious atm, it is something she suffers from along with depression, as she hardly ever rings during the day as we see her and her DH quite often. I've said to ring me if she feels the need to talk.I spent most of yesterday in the loft getting rid of empty boxes and making some space for DH to sit with his guitar. He has a skip at work so I'm trying to get rid of any rubbish before it's collected.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
