Package holiday refund requirement

Hi, I have a package holiday to Orlando that won’t go ahead, booked through travel agent as a package - have atol certificate - supplier is Gold Medal.  Package won’t go ahead due to FCO advisory. Flight is also being cancelled as is a Canadian flight and Company is stopping all travel and there will be no international flights from this Sunday.  As far as I understand the package regs - I am able to insist on a refund. Can I check that’s correct - before I speak to them?  I don’t want a voucher or to rebook.

You have you have not mentioned WHEN you are travelling. The current FCO travel advisory covers the next 30 days, up to 16 April.  If travelling within this period I expect you will find that a refund will be forthcoming. Unless travelling within the next seven days I would leave it a while before contacting them as I expect they are working through more immediate matters.
