The Black Death and the Spanish flu caused major changes in employment practices, and cultural norms. Hopefully this pandemic won't have the same fatality rate, but it is going to cause a big change in working practices. If those practices are seen to be worthwhile in themselves, they will be kept. Internet enabled home-working has been touted as a solution (to all sorts of ills) for three decades now. Perhaps this enforced trial will make it common.
