May be too soon, but due to go to Berlin April 7th - but the FCO advises British nationals against all but essential international travel. The trip is not essential and we don't want to go obviously and risk getting stuck and having nowhere to go! Ryanair haven't cancelled these yet - I do have travel insurance which will cover in theory if FCO advises against - but any clues as to position re Ryanair and the FCO advisory? The travel insurance are not going to want to pay when an airline could refund. Many thanks.

Now the FCO has issued their latest travel advisory you could in theory now make a claim on your travel insurance (check policy conditions first).  Keep in mind any insurance excess vs. cost of your FR ticket. Alternatively you could wait a short while to see if FR cancel the flight. If so they may offer a refund option.

@Westin is correct.  It's basically a waiting game with Ryanair at the moment.   At the moment it seems that unless flights are specifically banned, they are still operating them.  Of course they are offering to waive their change fee to move the flights to the future.

However, with the news today from the UK FCO, and most other countries increasing their "lockdown" measures, you may find a wider cancellation of their flying at some point.
  • Thanks. Excess is £50 so would be about £80 for two tix. Will hold out anyway as you say. Be easier.
