Voyage prive- credit only refund

Hi all,
Voyage prive will only refund a hotel cost in France by credit note siting 'force majeure'. Can I demand the money after the ski resorts closure? I have the same problem with the transfer company, Alps2alps

    is the hotel still open and accepting guests?
    if the hotel is closed you should be receiving a refund
    if the hotel is open but you cannot travel then the original booking terms apply, if these state it was refundable then you should push. If it was non-refundable and the credit note is a goodwill gesture you could opt to claim from your travel insurance instead (assuming you are covered)

    It was refundable but they are adamant its policy to pay credit notes?
    I've sent a complaint to say I want the money but this is stuck in a 28 day "we shall get back to you".

  • Here we are in May now and voyage prive refuse to even communicate.
    I assume our hotel we never paid so voyage prive have held our money. If they never paid it, why now keep it. Do not use this company plz.

    Copied & pasted something that was on my Twitter feed a couple of days ago.  If you paid by C/C perhaps you should consider a Section 75 (though many are failing if vouchers are offered, "copper_corner", the author of this Tweet, seems to have succeeded).  There have also been successes with D/C cashback claims (even if you paid by C/C), so check out MSE advice here:

    just to let you know that my S75 claim against Voyage Prive has been successful and Capital One have refunded me the £4.5k i was owed. They are giving VP 45 days to dispute, but not sure what evidence they will be providing! So good luck to them!!
