Jet2 cancelled flight, where do I stand with hotel booking?

I’ve arranged a golf trip for my husband and 7 pals at around £1k each. Jet 2 have just advised they have cancelled their flights and will be issuing a refund. The golf & accommodation has been booked via a separate company who called twice today to say things are still looking fine, but if they want to change their booking they can reschedule until the autumn. However, where do we stand if we’d rather have a refund? What is the best option for them all (it’s been booked since last summer so they’ve all been looking forward to it for ages)?

Did you book a refundable rate? If not, will they offer a refund?
What country is it? Is it one of the countries the FCO advise against travelling to? If so you can claim back on your travel insurance - as long as it covers it.
If you don't have luck with travel insurance, if it was booked on a credit card can you ask your CC provider about section 75 protection?0 -
Section 75 only applies if the "other company" fails to provide the contracted service.1
