Cancelling training course due to Coronavirus- claiming costs

I’m due to attend a course on Thursday but now due to Coronavirus going to cancel. I’ve paid £250+VAT (£100 of this was the deposit) for the course itself and £220+VAT for the kit I’ve bought to go with the course.
There policy is that I can change the date but I can’t get any refund at all!
I would change the date except my pregnant and will be too heavily pregnant to attend the next set of dates - that if they even go ahead.
The company have said they will happily hold my money so I can rebook even if it’s not until next year! Course they are!
Do I have any rights that cover me on this?
I really shouldn’t attend given the new government advice for pregnant women and won’t buy it was a lot of money for me!
Thank you so much in advance for any advice. I’m so upset and stressed.

You have the right to reschedule if they allow that, but not to any kind of refund.  They're still running the course.

Yes, and the company has told you what those rights are: to rebook when you are in a position to attend. That's far from ideal, but (crumb of comfort??) at least you'll be bang up to date when you return to work.

You only get the right if the government mandates you cannot attend - that hasn't happened yet.  Hold fire...that might happen in the coming weeks.
