Airline vouchers

Hi I have a trip planned where destination country will no longer allow Flights from UK. My airline has offered vouchers to be used within a year. If I take the vouchers and the airline goes bust, will the original purchase still be covered under credit card section 75 protections? If not do I have rights to cancel and reclaim a full refund minus reasonable admin charges

If the flight is cancelled you should be due a refund rather than a voucher.

Just to let you know we had a similar situation last week. Airline wanted us to take vouchers, but as stated on numerous answers on these forums, it should be reund or alternative flights. Vouchers are no good if they go bust, better to get money and keep it for a rainy day.

Hi it’s a BA flight to Peru. Borders are closed but getting conflicting details as to when will reopen. Maybe 2 days before am due to fly.,. I’ll wait a few days... interestingly I spoke with my credit card company who told me not to take a voucher but to cancel and get refund via dispute resolution. My insurance provider (via bank account) transferred call 3 times before I gave up with them😀
