I didn't take it as a joke. It is incredibly difficult to rent another home when you have dogs and if you're so broke that you are losing your home, you can't afford to keep the dogs. It is better to surrender them to a new home than to end up with your whole family homeless and hungry.3

"People apply for credit cards they are not given out."Well, unless things have drastically changed, and I'm going back a few years, Midland (yes that long ago) sent me a credit card with £20 preloaded as a customer. No application, it was just sent with the good news I had been pre approved and here's £20 as a gesture.Bought £20 fuel with it, cancelled after the first £0 balance statement.

I will be charitable and assume you are trying to make a jokeGerry1 said:Get rid of the two dogs !No, I wouldn't make a joke at someone else's expense; I'm being deadly serious. If she's about to become homeless because she can't pay the rent she needs to take a long hard look at all unnecessary outgoings. The welfare of a family with a young baby is far more important than having expensive dogs: she can't afford one dog, let alone two. It's also not fair on the dogs. They need to be properly fed and looked after, not to mention healthcare and vet's fees etc. They're unlikely to get that care if they're homeless. And is it even safe to have two dogs around when you have a young baby? A moment's inattention and the baby might end up mauled or killed, especially if the dogs are hungry, stressed, bored, ill, not being exercised etc.She urgently needs to get her priorities right. The dogs need a new owner.3 -
I think that despite the flat being lived in by parents that they either need to sell it, or move back and live in the flat. When times are hard, then desperate measures are needed.Dafidol said:She was thinking about bankruptcy but she has a flat in Europe and her parents are living in it. Some people don't realise the attachment people have to their dogs
you might as well have said why not give the baby up for adoption - that would save a bit of money1 -
I pity the poor sprog if the parents care more for their dogs.
