Hello
i need some advice and support regarding budgeting advance .
i finished off paying my second budgeting advance of £100 and for me to be accepted for my second advance , I told them it was for travel to my job interview which was the truth however, when asking for the second advance in the beginning , I told them it was for boiler repair which was genuine and also offered proof but I was rudely denied by them and had to wait a month and half to request again. This time it was for a job and I had to show proof at the job centre which I did and requested £100 (Was told that’s the max which I think was not true?) which I received.

Now my second advance has been paid off and it’s been around 2 month now and I’m in need of an advance as my universal credit allowance was eaten up by debt collector the day I received it in my account. I was left with £25.00 and now I am panicking and unable to afford food nor pay for essentials. I am on the limited work capability but not on the other one so I don’t get anything extra .
This has not stopped me from looking for a job which I got around December but had to quit three weeks later due to my health condition making it difficult for me to work.
Right now , I am afraid to ask for a budgeting advance as it feels like they really don’t want to give it out unless it’s for a very specific reason . Being hungry is not a good enough reason
I don’t know what to do. We still have a broken boiler which will completely become useless in at least a month but I don’t think they will accept that.

I literally have no other money coming my way for a month and have no idea how I will cope.
I was hoping if you guys can advice me on what to do to make my chances of being accepted for a third advance much better ? I paid all my previous ones with no issue.
Please help me.
thank you

If you're single with no children the most you can have is £348. The list of things you can request it for is here https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/on-universal-credit/budgeting-advance/

£100 is usually the minimum they will do, not the max.You will see that DWP guidance differs to CAB - https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/other-financial-support

It sounds as if you need to get debt advice so that your income is not taken away dealing with debt.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
