Morning folks. Old misery guts here and I still can't shake it off. The thoughts of 4 months in solitary confinement to blame of course. There are two ladies in their 70's nearby who lost their DH's a similar time to me but both have sons in their early 50's still at home and working. So their solitary is different to mine but what's to stop the sons bringing the dreaded virus home to them. In which case they could have carried on going out! There's no sense in it.
The sky is looking more blue and the temp supposed to rise a bit this afternoon so I am off out after lunch to try and tidy the front garden up a bit. There's all sorts of rubbish stuck under the hedge and bushes thanks to all the wind we have been having. My legs won't let me bend to pick it up so I plan to attempt it with my grabbing stick, bin liner in hand. I'll look like a council litter picker!
The message about panic buying and stockpiling is not being heeded in town. DF texted to say she had walked past Morries at 8.30 and the car park was packed and folk coming out with trolleys piled high. Usually just a scattering of cars at that time. It's not easing off is it.
Thinking of you all and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better, sad, worried and lonely. Take care xx

Monogram: Had to smile at your comment re the council, I too have had many a wrangle with our council.
Have decided to hang fire on the new cooker until after this present crisis is over and we have hopefully come through the other side. We are on the verge of isolating ourselves. I need to go to the PO tomorrow to draw cash, I will feel happier then. The Evergreens rang to say they are suspending meetings until after Easter, no probs, OH was not going today anyway.
I did enough ranting yesterday re the situation the government seem to want to put us in, so will shut up until something else gets up my nose.
Load of laundry in, going out on the line. OH is girding his loins to go out in the garden. The heat is off in the house and windows open. Will put the heat back on later. We could do with a nice warm spring like we had last year, that will kill the bugs off!!
Went through my Morrison order and took a couple of things off. I have ordered fresh veg which will go in a string bag hung up in what was the coal shed, eventually it will end up in the fridge.
Not a lot planned for later except to put my feet up. Supper tonight, egg, chips and beans, there is raspberry trifle which we might have for dessert. I found a small Christmas pudding when I was sorting the larder cupboard, we will have that this week at some point.

WB Bozwood - glad you're OK.Well, the remedial work is finished
The new skirtings are on, the beading re-instated, the wood panels are back and a plasterboard is covering the other hole in the wall.
All the rubbish and rubble are still to be taken out, probably on Wednesday, the flooring sprayed and then the chap will attempt to put the laminate back. No more noise! After the weekend it'll be a case of looking for a painter / decorator. My nose is 'weeping' - I'm convinced it's the lilies so I'll get some anti-histamines tomorrow when I go out for DM's scripts. Now it's time for a relaxing sit down and a drink though I'll be having a glass of water.Happy evening to all - keep calm and all will pass.8
