Ryanair “FREE” change of flights

I was meant to be going to Dublin on Friday and now it is closing down I need to cancel. Ryanair is no refunds until it is cancelled by them through the government etc but will waiver the change charge out of the goodness of their hearts.
looked at changing flights to November and funnily enough they are more expensive.
i decided to check this using a different device and non account for the same flights from the same airports at the same times and they are actually £1 less than my previous flight.
ive screen printed it and will email them about this.
i just don’t understand how they can do this at a serious set of events such as now and take advantage of people!
i’m sure most would have just thought at least they are kindly letting me change and I don’t loose all my money!

  • You obviously dont know how O'Leary works. Its supply and demand.
  • I was flying out to Spain on Saturday 14th March - FOC announced state of emergency in Spain and advised against all but non essential travel. Ryanair were impossible to get hold of, I tried everything as the FOC said consult your airline for more info. In the end I rang the airport who told me that the earlier flights to my destination had taken a U turn and were on the way back, so although my flight was still showing as scheduled it was advisable not to turn up for the flight. Unfortunately the flight still went, I have no Idea why! So because I chose not to fly and it wasn't cancelled I doubt I will get a refund. I still have a return flight booked but I cannot get a response from Ryanair, I have been in a queue to speak to customer services since 8am today and was all day yesterday. I have no idea what my rights are?

    @shnurgan - Same here!
     We have a family flight booked in April for Spain, currently also able to change flights 'free' of charge.
    So looked at next term break, just searching not logged in, found flights are £100 less, great... but when using the 'free' change, thinking i was due a credit actually works out at £50 extra to pay.
    If Ryanair cancel the flight, presumably i get a full credit, then book up in May... but if they dont, unsure what to do?
