Have paid a hefty deposit, and am due to pay the final amount for booking a villa in cyprus in June. 1: In the event all flights to cyprus are cancelled in June, Can I get deposit and full payment back? 2: if Cyprus bans travel from other countries, will I be able to claim the money back ? I have insurance which covers cancellation, but not in the case of travel/holiday disruption! 3: Should be paying final amount this month, can I delay the payment?

If the government advise to cancel travel to Cyprus, you claim on insurance.
If Cyprus bans travel to the UK you may well find your flight is cancelled and the airline then has to refund.
Ask to delay payment and ask about a credit or refund.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have paid a £200 deposit to go to Lake Como in mid June with my Mum who is 80, so my Mum is considered to be vulnerable. Where do I stand with getting my deposit back? Any advice please.0

@pinotgrigio: I suspect, at the moment, if you decide to cancel you will lose your deposit. The situation is however changing daily. As you are not due to travel until June I would let things settle over coming weeks. You may find that in a few days/weeks that travel businesses and airlines will cancel flights and holidays and you should then receive your deposit back. Keep an eye on the FCO website and your travel company website.2
