Unsatisfied CCJ & default payments

Hey all,
Got myself into a bit of a financial mess a few years back, and finally I'm debt free as of December.
I've just braved checking my credit files and seen a few things that are concerning me.
Firstly I got a CCJ 3 years ago, and at the time had called the number straight away and was advised I could pay a reduced figure that same day to settle the debt, but if I couldn't then they would proceed with home visits etc. My family lent me money and I called back the same day to make the payment.
I'd presumed this would then be settled but this ccj is on file with credit karma as 'active', and on clear score as 'unsatisified' - does this sound correct? I've just paid the fee to check the trust online register and that is also showing as unsatisfied with the total amount on there and none of the records show that a payment was made.
I'm also seeing red defaults for every single on-time, as agreed monthly payments which I made to Lowell up until me closing the account in early december. This is also bringing my score down and concerning as it is showing as a default being as recent as December when the original issue was years ago. Is this also right or should I try and get it changed?
Finally credit karma are saying its a bad thing that I now have no active credit accounts and 0 balances - and that I'm 'new to credit' because I've not borrowed anything the last 3 months. This also seems weird to me as surely its a positive that I've paid everything off?
Sorry for all the qs I'm just really confused by all this and had hoped by clearing all my debts I'd be in a better position credit score wise but I don't seem to be!! I'd also thought that the issues I'd had previously would be off my file in 2-3 years but given the information I've found it looks like it'll be there for 6 years now.
Thanks in advance.

Hi roseanne8765 and welcome to the forum
I recommend you read the following article from DebtCamel:

When you say the Lowell account was closed, do you mean you have previously agreed a settlement for this account with Lowell? If you look at your credit file, what is the default date recorded for this account? (You get to see the actual default date by opening and expanding the account payment details).

Had a read and that's helpful thank you.
So when the debts were passed to lowell I set up a payment plan with them and made sure that monthly payment was made on time and to the full agreed amount each month.
Then at the end of November I was able to afford to pay off the outstanding amount on the account in order to close it. However on credit karma this is showing as a red D for every payment made, and on experian its showing:
Opened:17 Aug 2007Credit limit:£0Defaulted date:07 May 2017Satisfaction date:29 Nov 2019Last updated:05 Jan 2020Loaned to:--Last year
- Account in Default£0
- Account in Default£0
- Account in Default£115
- Account in Default£165
Thanks again for the help, keen to work on my rating now I've got myself out of debt 😬0 -
So, it is recorded that the account defaulted 07/05/2017. This means the default will be automatically removed from your credit files after six years from the default date (07/05/2023). As far as you are aware, is the 7th May 2017 the correct default date? (ie is that the same default date as recorded by the original creditor, before Lowell started managing the account?)
The data on your file shows that the account was settled by you 29/11/2019. So that seems to be correct, as it is consistent with what you have said.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

OK thanks - so it's normal that every month I made payment is showing as a default? I guess because the account was in default I was just reducing the amount owed each month?
Ahh OK so it won't take 6 years from the settled date it's from the original default date?
That's made me feel slightly better, thanks.0 -

Just called the claim court
Issued by : Parking eye
I have previously disputed this fine and i am 100% positive i did not receive any court notice! I did have payment letters which i ignored after i sent in an appeal - It was for a non ticket purchase as I was stopped in the entry of a car park breast feeding my baby. I have been advised I need to pay the amount and it will stay on my record for 6 years!!! Absolutely disgusting!0
