Hi, opened up my Kenwood so I could reach for the high speed spindle, but cannot get the spindle off. The replacement part looks as it it's just to be put over a pin, so removal should go as eas

y. Older versions have a pin that keeps the spindle in place, this is not the case here. Anybody knows how to get it off? Is it glewed tot the pin tot keep it in place? I will add some pictures! Thanks for any tip at all 👍

Would guess that if you put some of the wide flat blade screwdrivers aton the base between the shaft of the plastic, that you could lever the plastic gear off.0

Hi there, we tried this but that doesn't work. We'll try once more but I'm afraid it won't work. Other suggestions? I would like to know if it's glewed tot the Axis. As it used to be connected with a pin, this seems a cruciale connection to me.a said:Would guess that if you put some of the wide flat blade screwdrivers aton the base between the shaft of the plastic, that you could lever the plastic gear off.0 -
I'm surprised that there's no indentation/key to hold the part in place to stop it spinning on the drive shaft. If there's no pin then it's either glued in place or has a very tight interference fit.
I would use 2 flat blade screwdrivers ... one to press down on the black part (to stop if lifting) and one to prise off the old driver gear.0 -
Hi everybody, Found the solution with the help of another forum. No pin but probably pushed over the pin with use of hear. No glew rather. So what we dus: we 'sawed' the old one away, heated the new spindle in booking water and they jammerend it on the pin. Some pictures will follow. The Mean machine works as beforehand, we're a little bit more proud 👍. Thanks for you suggestions.marjan74 said:Hi, opened up my Kenwood so I could reach for the high speed spindle, but cannot get the spindle off. OK ... the drive shaft has splines which bite into the plastic when the part is pushed over it, and that prevents it rotating on the shaft.0
