How could I disinfect my prescription glasses without chemicals?

First of all, I was talking about viruses (and bacteria) in general, including the flu virus, which I'd rather not catch if I can avoid it. Secondly, what you're saying isn't true. Allegedly, you could pick up a virus (again, speaking generally) by touching something that's been contaminated, such as a door handle (I live in a tower block so hundreds of people would have used the same doors). If you then have it on your fingers, that means you could transfer it to anything you touch before you wash your hands. I often need to change between sunglasses and regular glasses so I've clearly had to touch them after having touched door handles and lift buttons that other people have used, so in theory there could still be small amounts of viruses on the frames, most of which are probably harmless in such small quantities but we can't really know for sure. There's a reason we wash our hands.elsien said:If you're close enough to someone to have corona virus on your glasses then you're close enough to have it all over your face and to have breathed it in. Where are your glasses going to be that you're not?

In the politest of ways, why ask if you know the answers?cj2011 said:

elsien is correct in what she says. Even though you are worrying about touching your glasses, you will have touched your face more times then your glasses without even being aware of it. Face touching is hard wired in us
Just keep on washing your hands with just soap and do the same for your glasses and your mobile phone0 -
Ultrasonic cleaner? Hubs has one for his hobby and it's fantastic at cleaning glasses. Recent research points to it's effectiveness against bacteria and viruses. Though I have no specific info for COVID 19.0
