Hi can anyone help me please.
My son is supposed to be going to Australia on a holiday working visa at the end of April. Could anyone suggest and travel insurance company , that would cover my son's medical condition along with cover if the flight is delayed or cancelled .
Thank you in advance 😊

Look at Staysure or Insureandgo. Both do cover pre-existing medical conditions.

I used Marks & Spencer. Went through the health questionnaire, I have epilepsy, mental health and hypertension that needed declaring and paid £150 for a 2 week holiday to Sri Lanka for 3 people, went for the middle option so there was a cheaper option.0

If your son is on a working holiday visa, he would normally be covered whilst in Australia under the reciprocal arrangement with UK through Medicare, but make sure that any insurance policy includes cover for ambulance transport in Australia. The cost of just a short trip can be very high, and is not part of Medicare. Also ensure he takes sufficient prescription medication with him as some epilepsy medication costs a lot more than prescriptions cost in the UK. The allowance by Australian Customs is I think 3 months' worth officially, but so long as he has his prescription with him and he declares what he has there should be no trouble taking it in but he MUST declare it.
