Travel insurance has wrong name on, can I change it

Bit of a stupid mistake to be honest but in my defence I was juggling the flights, accomodation bookings all at the same time. I paid for travel insurance for 2 of us. I changed the lead passenger on it to my partner but neglected to change the accompanying passenger (me) and it was left with my partners name as both people but with my details as the second, if that makes sense. OIt was booked through Virgin 2 months ago and the only reason I looked at it was because of this coronavirus threat. I haven't been able to get through for the last few days, phone just goes dead. My policy was obviously bought before the outbreak and gives me more cover than you can get now. Will they honour the original as it was my oversight regarding the name change or do I not have a leg to stand on. The holiday is 10weeks away in Bulgaria.
Thanks
Thanks

Just call the insurer. They will probably charge for making the change, but should make it.

I've been trying to get through with no luck. Apparently they are no longer issuing travel insurance policies. Changing the name could possibly cost them £1000 which I feel they will have a reluctance to do but will keep trying to get through.0

A reminder to read the policy as soon as you get it, if there is something wrong or it doesn't cover what you thought, you can cancel free of charge for 14 days after purchase0

Thanks but bought it 2 months ago and yesterday was the first time I'd looked at it0

Worrying over nothing, changed the name for nothing and issued new certificate, all within 5 minutes0

Have they changed the policy over word for word, do you still have the same level of cover ?realitybites said:Worrying over nothing, changed the name for nothing and issued new certificate, all within 5 minutes
