Nationwide texts

Hi, I'm a FTB that has exchanged on a new build. My solicitor told me on 28/02/20 that the house is build complete with a proposed completion date of 27/03/20.
I received a text from Nationwide on 04/03/20 to say that funds will be sent on 26/03/20. I have then received another text on Wednesday stating they have received the valuation for my mortgage application to review! I'm hoping this was sent in error, as I received my mortgage offer on 18th October!?
With 2 weeks until completion, would all final checks by Nationwide now be complete due to receiving the text regarding them sending funds? Or could something still go wrong? Will be so glad to get to the end of this after 6 months of worrying!
Also, I would like to set up BT broadband, but it states they will do a credit check. Does anyone know if this would be a soft or hard search please, as I wouldn't want a hard search showing on my file if Nationwide were to do another credit check!
Many thanks

Yeah, that second text was blatantly a mistake given funds are being drawn down, though personally I'd still be tempted to call them and ask.
A mortgage lender won't care about a credit search from BT. They care about you taking on substantial debt that affects the affordability of the mortgage, not you getting a phone line.1 -
I suspect your solicitor has given Nationwide a minor amendment which needed to be included in the valuation. This can be anything from a change to the ground rent/service charges, lease term (Countrywide has a nasty knack of sticking 85 years on every valuation as that is the Nationwide minimum, despite what was on the application) to newbuild cash incentives.I am a mortgage broker. Ask your broker for copies of the two valuations then look for the differences.I am a mortgage broker.
