TSB one time passcode

Options
Trying to set-up new SO. Requires one-time-passcode.
70 mins latter it arrives.  Useless.
Contact TSB to enquire just now.  Told they had a problem earlier but it's fixed now.
No it isn't!  They lied.

Yes, people often do that just to get callers off the line.

It does seem to vary a bit from one bank to another. I find that OTPs from RBS tend to arrive more quickly than those from Nationwide. And that's using the same mobile network, same phone, sitting at the same desk and both within the course of a few minutes.

I really don't like the sound of your problem with TSB, 'cos I also have a TSB account (I'm planning to dump RBS in favour of TSB in the summer). I haven't yet needed a TSB OTP, though.

It might be worth complaining to TSB in writing if it happens consistently. If it's a general problem with their system and lots of people tell them, they'll need to fix it.

I'm assuming the OP doesn't have a landline because when I had the same problem with TSB I was able to use my landline number. When the phone rings, a voice reads out the OTP numbers.

I wish more banks would allow the use of your landline as an alternative.
