I am hoping someone can advise.
I was made redundant on Wednesday. We were told we would get a breakdown of our redundancy, a payslip for holidays, overtime and weeks worked at the end of March on our normal pay day.
Today I have received a cheque in the post no explanation just reference redundancy. I have contacted our HR who have said this is our whole payment for everything owed and we will get a payslip at the end of the month
Is this normal proceedure? How am I supposed to know what Ive been paid for ect and do I have to wait till the end of the month?
Im soo confused with it all as they cant seem to give a straight answer.
Many thanks in advance.

You should get a statement - request it in writing from the HR department0

However in the meantime you should be able to do a rough calculation.
How many complete years had you worked there?
What is your age?
Was you contractual notice entitlement more than statutory? (1 week's pay for each full year to a max of 12)
Had you taken all of your holiday entitlement (pro rata)0 -
Thanks everyone I have contacted them and been told I will receive the breakdown at the end of the month, when we normally should of been paid. They messed my wages up last month so really need to check that its all correct however suppose I will have to wait.0

They are supposed to give you a statement of how pay is calculated at or before the time of payment. Seem they have gone about it in the other order.

It's a pretty fair bet that your payslip will simply show an item for Holiday Pay and a monetary figure beside it, without any indication of how the figure was calculated. If you want to know that, you'll need to get the detailed calculation from your HR department. In case it helps you, here's what I extracted from my employer's HR department when I was made redundant in 2015.210 (full time entitlement) / 12 * 9.5 = 166.5 hours(210 = 30 days holiday/year * 7hrs)
3.5 banked days * 7 = 24.5("banked days" = previous year's entitlement not yet taken at beginning of year)
166.5 + 24.5 = 191 hours entitlement
11.5 (days taken) * 7 = 80.5 hours
191 – 80.5 = 110.5 hours owed
£x / 12 / 21.75 * 5 / 35 = £y (hourly rate of pay)
(£x = annual salary, 21.75 = average no. of working days in a month)
£y * 110.5 = £z holiday pay owed to youI doubt if your calculation will be identical, but this might give you an idea of how HR go about it.

You should have been given a breakdown of your redundancy pay / entitlement when your redundancy was confirmedVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
