Natwest closed account but credit file says default and open?

    I say don't give up. You received notice, in writing, that they were wiping the debt. Not having a copy of that yourself is problematic, but the fact that the same joint account is listed as closed for one account holder but in default for the other account holder is very obviously not right. You might try pursuing Natwest for a copy of the letter you know they sent you.

    they didn't say they were wiping the debt, they said they were not actively pursuing it.

    Yes I think I will write to them again asking why it is showing closed on my husbands and not on mine. Will also ask if I can see said letter! Thanks for the idea!
