Good luck RR for your scan results.
Overcast, we had rain in the night and it looks as if we might be in for some more. At least I got the towels dry and none of them escaped off the line. I want to put the quilt lhat lives over the back of the settee out, it needs a good bashing, although the wind does not seem as strong as it was yesterday.
Off to take OH for a blood test, he has his appointment for the memory unit, April 16th.......
We had a chat last night and I have cancelled the accommodation booking for our holiday in May. Its right bang slap in the middle of the period they think it will take for the virus to peak. We have enough problems without asking for more. We are stocked up and with the shop from Morrison next week should not need to go out for at least 2 weeks. So from here on in we will be staying 'at home'.
Our usual fish and chip supper, no idea about dessert. I am trying not to eat as much, sitting round this winter has affected my waist line very badly!!

Morning folks- bright cold sunshine here, it looks lovely outside.TA - lovely to hear about your birthday treats.BELLA - all will be OK, eventually!REDRUBY - fingers and toes crossed here.SNOOZER - well done on being 'free'. My home county (Argyll and Bute) is also free of the virus so far. Glasgow has 10 cases. The builders aren't coming today (yeeha), I think they have been affected by the chemicals they were using yesterday. So, a no noise day ahead which will be bliss. The cleaner is here so I'll be going out shortly. She'll leave a flask of tea for DM if I'm not back before she leaves. I've done a wee wool wash already and will put the main wash on when I get back home.My lovely cousin in Berlin has decided to not come to his daughther's wedding in London next week, now I feel so much less guilty about not going too.Right, must awa' - happy Friday to everyone.13

Morning all. It's a dry day and brightening up nicely.I didn't sleep very well last night but finally dropped off and then slept in late. However after my 2 very stressful days, I am going to chill today, starting with a relaxing bubble bath in a moment. I do have a GP appointment later but it should be a quick in and out ( I've got the "fast" GP )The only decision I have to make today is what to have for tea. Other than than nothing else is going to be done, so there
.
RedRuby I'm thinking of you. My fingers are crossed.Gers no builders eh ? Have a lovely quiet day.TA sound like you has a lovely day yesterday. I wouldn't know what cocktail to choose even with a menu.Scarlett yes I'm down now, took a while though, oh ! and a large port and lemonBella I hope today goes better.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
!!!!!!, lost my post...Anyway, good morning! I am awake, almost at full tea saturation, the sun is shining and I'm ready to rock and roll! Slowly though....OH is still going away as of this moment to play little men in Nottingham and he can enjoy a nice weekend of bromance nerdmancy and come home to me dousing him in bleach, I've told him I will, he seems OK with it...I have various pottering activities planned, pot up baby aloe veras, sow my new black tomato seeds that have turned up today [ I've grown all of them before but I needed an injection of fresh seed for a few and then because i was looking at a seed website, I just went a bit crazy as gardeners will understand], make some gloves, do a bit of resotration to the hallstand. Where it's been in damp, the top edges of one side have started warping inwards which is not healthy for it's standing up and not falling over abilities nor my peace of mind, so it's either take it all apart, straighten the wood, or fall back on the easy option of a long thin sturdy piece of metal screwed along the length. As an antique, there are hundreds of them about so it's not particularly rare, so I can feel at ease about a workaorund strategy...In other words, a bodge job. But it's mine so I will fix it as best I can. I may also make some focaccia again, because it was quite simple and I have fresh yeast.TA, I've been to an Alchemist place, aren't they fab? Pricey yes, but it's so much fun to see a sparkly drink, or one smoking away...Very Addams family...Hope you find something on the shelves. Ruby, hope the results are good. mehefin, good to know it went frostily well....Monna, made me laugh anyway
Nelski, hope your terrorist turned up and the doc is on it for the blood pressure..How about swimming? Nanny, I think all parents are like that at some point because they have convinced themselves they know better about anything. From now on if he won't listen to reason, rescind the open door policy and tell him you'll put his food on a plate and someone can walk it down to him rather than him putting your OH at risk....Enjoy your day Gers! Hey all readers along..Fresh faced Friday!

Morning
Late for me today...duvet washed and drying so now I just dread the putting it back on bit but needs must so once done I will have as an achievement! Bit of a Friday tidy but not much to do at all. May sort a Kitchen cupboard or two out this avvy and do a mega food inventory for some meal planning. My favourite OT came round to check BP and the diastolic was still really highshe stayed for a chat after and offered to put the duvet back on but sadly still damp. She's so lovely and takes action unlike Mr can't be bothered consultant...his view on the BP was "what do you expect after a stroke" my support team are concerned so I can now expect a few extra appointments.
Opted for a voucher for my friends and with a year to use they can leave it till this is over Self isolation holds no issues for me as I have been doing it since Jan! Fortunately I have always had way too much food stored so no stockpiling required although I may get a bit more wine in case deliveries have to stop. NANNY I feel your pain re the "parent" Mum has told me its storm in a teacup and it will all die down by next week ....I wish. She doesn't watch any news so believes its me worrying too much. Fortunately she doesn't go to the shop much as I get her deliveries apart from Weds and Saturdays and to the hairdresser once a fortnight....what can you do stubbornness is a trait Im afraid....lets get the charabanc ramped up to go
Rubes thinking of you today...hope the results are OK xx
Gers Enjoy the peace
Have a fab friday all

Nipping in to say hello
TA - belated birthday wishes glad you had a nice day.
Redruby - will be thinking of you today.
Got blood test results back - they show inflammation so possibly related to my shoulder. Dr is arranging for scan to be done.13 -
I've been using my time to research the new oven / dishwasher and working out what needs done and who needs to do it. I've chatted to my architect friend about it all. He's offered to do most of the work but I've decided to get trades in, mostly because Alan is very stressed with things in his life and had a wee heart-related episode recently. I'll save him for putting the dining room furniture back when the time comes. There's a pile of paperwork to be shredded although the shredder is hidden behind the pile of stuff in the messy room. It's been lovely and quiet here, I ventured out to the shops earlier and found them packed. There was hardly a trolley going to checkouts which didn't have loo paper in them. We seem obsessed with the stuff! Luckily my DM is also obsessed with the supply of loo roll, kitchen towel and paper hankies so there is always plenty in her cupboard. I've got a Costco packet of loo roll in my own home so, if push comes to shove, I can dash up for it.I hope that the poorlies have had a better day.11

had to nip back whilst blowing smugly on my nails.....the duvet cover is back on
Amazing what counts as a success nowadays. It did take me a heck of a time though.
(Bad daughter alert) Another row with mother about you know what and her stubbornness remains in tact Have decided to stop even mentioning it now as she is an adult and therefore can make her own decisionsHope she realises I wont be rushing over to help if or when should I say she does get it.
Food wise attempted a chicken black bean and quite honestly it was awful so Ill stick to takeaways in the future if I must have it
Have a nice evening all9
