Second Opinion On Gas Bill-Northumbria Energy
Options
Hi All
Just looking for a different set eyes on my recent gas bill. It shows things like usage used and how much it costs. I do not think it is right by going from the figures.
My Tarriff:
Unit Rate: 3.83p/kWh
Standing Charge: 12.07p/day
Meter readings from 16 December 2019- 1260
To 5 March 2020- 1653
Duration in days: 80
Total kWh used-4275.7
Sorry for long post, I have recently switched from northumbria. They agree my bill is wrong and i have not heard anything for over 2 weeks.

It seems fine, provided that it's a metric meter (marked as m3). But you're on a ridiculously expensive tariff and you should switch to a far cheaper one.

If the supplier has already agreed with your complaint that the bill is in error, I'm somewhat confused as to what second opinion you went to the time & effort to join MSE to seek.
Suppliers are allowed up to 8 weeks to resolve any customer raised complaint

4257.7 x 3.83 = £163.07
80 x 3.83 = £3.06
£163.07 + £3.06 = £166.14
Not sure is these inc VAT - if not £166.14 x 1.05 = £174.45

Quite a bit of guesswork going on here, your title isSecond Opinion On Gas Bill-Northumbria Energy
and in your first post you say "I have recently switched from northumbria". Are you then questioning their final bill as you switched away? If so, what bit are you questioning, the final balance, or the cost of gas used? You say Northumbria agree the bill is wrong, but in what way? Have they just said they are investigating it and you want an opinion on what it should be? You haven't told us what figures they show, and you've had suggestions of what that usage of gas on that tariff would be. If you are prepared to show fuller details of your bill (with any personal identifying information removed of course), then you might get more meaningful responses.
