Holiday accommodation in Cyprus - section 75?

We have a villa booked in Cyprus May , my working assumption is that we won't be going however it seems that Post Office travel insurance (policy booked last year starting with TC) is less than comprehensive and it won't be covered as apparently that was an optional extra. The booking was made using a credit card, if the current situation still applies (no FCO warning but Cyprus say you must isolate for 14 days) or the FCO advise against travel would a section 75 claim be likely to succeed?

No.
Section 75 covers you for breach of contract by the supplier, or supplier failure. The Villa is there and available as booked. Whilst it isn't your fault you might not be able to use it, it isn't the villa owners either.
A lot can, and will change by May.2 -
That was my understanding too. Was worth checking though, ta. Fingers crossed something changes then!0

Hopefully by May things might have improved in the travel industry.0
