Towels - Good Ones to Buy

Mine were from BHS.
They're nice and thick but I've noticed no matter where I look, be it Asda, M&S, Next... none are that thick.
Are there any places I could try to get some good ones? Or should I just get used to a thinner towel?

I find the Asda ones are soft and stay so after washing.0

Try Debenhams or John Lewis, best to wait until a sale period as towels are always the first things to be reduced.2

We usually buy ours direct from Christy their website often has sales or special offers on.

John Lewis Egyptian cotton - they are thick and fluffy BUT unlike most thick and fluffy towels, they absorb water.3

Try TK max, they often have good thick towels.0

The trick to ensuring towels remain being able to absorb water is to not use fabric conditioner when washing them, use a couple of capfuls of white vinegar instead.theonlywayisup said:John Lewis Egyptian cotton - they are thick and fluffy BUT unlike most thick and fluffy towels, they absorb water.0 -
Several years ago, I bought the whole family some from Tesco Direct. They are really soft and thick and have stayed so, and were very well priced.
Obviously Tesco Direct is no more but I think they still sell the same range in their shops. They call it 'hygro cotton'. I had a quick look on the grocery ordering site and this one looks to be the same range: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/302357974 I'm really glad I found them as I'd love another set.0 -

That may be true, but my JL Egyptian cotton ones are still fluffy and very absorbent with me using fabric conditioner. I don't intend to change now. The trick is to buy towels that absorb in the first place!neilmcl said:
