And leave those of us from the South looking blank as we've no idea what it means!:Dxylophone said:My thinking is the virus hasn’t get kegsIndecent exposure?
Might make posters from the North smile?
I'd say that unless forced to make a decision because of cancellation times etc I'd leave it until nearer the time. Advice seems to be changing by the day. It could be that even if you are prepared to travel then many of the sights would be closed.

I have a similar predicament but the hotel I've booked is unfortunately not refundable or amendable. Do you think there's any chance the hotel would waive that policy in the wake of govt recommendations (and a pleading phone call)?Deposit building continues...0

The only way you'll find out is to contact them.

Last week I went away for a couple of days as a treat for my elderly mother; not sure either of us would do the same this week.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Unfortunately, Center Parks have made the decision to close all their sites. I think they are offering rebooking though later in the year.Deleted_User said:So my partner and I are supposed to be going down to London on the 20th March for a bit of sight-seeing and to catch a show, now with this poxy Covid -19 stuff I'm not sure whether to go or not, we are both healthy and mid-40's so not overly concerned about it, but our folks are obviously older and I do have a daughter who I'm supposed to be going to Center Parcs with in the Easter hols, would you cancel London and just go later in the year or we could cancel and go somewhere a little less crowded like the Lakes???
What would you do?1 -
I think the decisions are being made for us. We were due to go to a campsite in April they just emailed to say they are not opening till May so we can change the date or get our money back.Debt free and Keeping on Track1

You wont catch me travelling. Think there is a high chance all hotels in London will be closed past this weekend. I know a lot of hotels in the North West are already closed0

My brother lives in NZ. He just cancelled his late May holiday. He got full refunds on parking, flights, car hire and Air BNB but not for the 3 hotel bookings in Cornwall and Dorset. One will let him change the date but the other two say no and refused to discuss. When he does re-book it will be with Air BNBLove living in a village in the country side0

My son lives and works in London. He is actually staying in a travel lodge as his live in landlord and landlady are in isolation with a dreaded dry cough.evkevin said:You wont catch me travelling. There will perhaps be more demand for cases like this?0
