Section 75 - would it apply if I only paid for an amendment to a booking on CC?

Options
Hi. Been a long time since I posted anything, but have always found the forums a good place for answers!

Slightly hypothetical scenario, but was looking for some guidance and can't seem to find any reference to this elsewhere.

If I pay for a packaged holiday entirely by debit card, and then make an amendment to the booking (e.g. change the room size, add a transfer, etc) and pay the new outstanding balance by Credit Card, would this make the entire holiday eligible for Section 75 claim if it was needed? It fits the bill of "only having to pay £1 on CC to be eligible" but not sure if this is one loophole too far?

Given current uncertainty around travel arrangements for the summer, and what will/won't be covered by insurance, I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks

That is going to be a suck it and see with the card company.
Remember a package holiday is covered by abta

    makes good reading.

You just have to remember that if it is you who do not want to go, that it would be no cover.

If I were the bank then I'd say it was only the amendment that was covered.
Why aren't you paying for the holiday by credit card?
