Hi,
I am looking for information on grants or funding for those who are employed but no receiving benefits.
Basically, I am a single parent and my heating has broken down and can not be repaired (old back boiler). I have been quoted for a new combi and new radiators as mine would not be able to stand the pressure from the combi. I have no means of paying for the system myself, as after all my bills are paid I am left with approximately £180 to last the month (for shopping, petrol etc) I have applied to Unison for financial assistance, but they have a maximum amount that can be awarded if successful. I am not receiving any benefits so am not eligible for a 'free' replacement boiler. I am also in a debt management plan and have bad credit so am unable to apply for finance.
I have no hot water or heating and am at a complete loss of where to turn for help. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
