I'm looking at new accounts to open to get switching bonuses, hopefully I should be eligible for some this year, but I can't remember when i closed them down last time, and when i last got the bonuses from them.
from e-mail searches I've pieced together a bit of info but i'm sure theres missed bits, is there any way of finding out your history with banks? It would have been so much easier if I kept it all written down!
I've never bothered with them credit reports you can buy, would one of those tell me when I opened and closed accounts?

I have closed bank accounts and my credit reports show opening and closing dates on them. There are free versions of credit reports from the three credit reporting agencies as follows.
MSE Credit Club for Experian
Clearscore for Equifax
Credit Karma for Transunion1 -
just signed up to the MSE credit club, well that was some interesting reading, but it didn't show me what I was looking for. said I had 34 accounts in total, 20 closed.?? don't know where it has got that from?
EDIT, found them, there was 20 closed accounts turns out it was right.
one thing I did notice is last year I had a Monzo account that had a fair bit of cash paid in , but there's no record of it on there? is that because it's not a real bank
anyway luckily I found a few pictures of my old banking notes on my phone and managed to peice all the history together back to 20140 -
You should be able to expand each account to see the account started date and the account settled date for closed accounts.0

MSE apparently get their info from Experian, see below.fenwick458 said:just signed up to the MSE credit club, well that was some interesting reading, but it didn't show me what I was looking for. said I had 34 accounts in total, 20 closed.?? don't know where it has got that from?
