Quickest current account to open

I need to open a current account to complete a switch to TSB by 24 March to be eligible for a £100 refer a friend offer I activated (btw that offer expired 28 Feb). I have a Starling account which I want to keep, and Ive used my Monzo for a switch and they have a 30 day wait to reo-open. Anyone know of a bank that will let me open online within a day or two? I tried Metro, but they want you to come into the bank for ID processing. The Cass switch takes 7 working days (if it all goes to plan) so I really need to have an account open by Fri 13, of all dates

Avoid HSBC then.
Lloyd's was pretty quick iirc1 -
I think most banks are now doing an identity check which adds a few days on. End of last year I was opening plenty of accounts online on the same day (tsb, Lloyds, Santander that I can think of) although was already a customer of Santander & tsb.
Just this last month tsb have introduced an id check before it gets opened which adds a few days
If I were you I'd try any bank who you are currently with
Or sacrifice the starling

Think Money is quick. There’s a fee of £10 a month but you won’t pay it until you’ve started using the account and had income paid in at least once.I’ve just opened one two days ago. Card here and account active. I can now use it to switch (they’re part of the CASS)2

Barclays let you open an account through the app now, you just have to take a photo of your Id and a short video selfie of yourself. Providing they can do address checks electronically the account gets opened straight away.1
