PPI to IVA company

Hi
I was looking for information/advice regarding PPI that I have been told I have been successful in claiming. The only thing is I was in an IVA over 10 years ago that failed as I lost my job. The bank have conducted further inquiries and found I was in the IVA. They contacted the IVA company, not the original one that I took the IVA out through as they have been bought out again and again, and they have said they have got a claim against my PPI payout..is this correct as I stand to lose all of the claim? I paid into the IVA for 3 1/2 years totaling around £10,000 but don't know if any of that money went to my creditors including the bank that contacted them.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Yes, it's correct.
As long as you didn't use a claims company, you won't be out of pocket.1 -

if you’ve used a CMC and didn’t tell them you were in an IVA previously then expect a bill for 24% of whatever amount the bank have offered you. This will have to be paid out of your own pocket.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Thank you for your comments.
I did use a claims company to claims the PPI and I did tell them that I was in an IVA previously and when it failed. I have tried to contact the company to find out the information as to where the IVA money I have paid in is up to but to no avail. I have been online to have a look for the company and it seems they have a bad reputation for customer services and withholding information from customers. My question is how do I find about my failed IVA and the process I have to go through to get information?
Thanks again0 -
