Avro energy. Gas and Electricity

Options
Using moneysavingexpert to change from my current (no pun intended) supplier, I chose a tariff  "Simple and SuperFixed" by Avro energy. Partially because they are a locally registered company and their rate was very favourable.  When they (Avro) sent me a welcome pack by email it did not show the same rate but "Simple and mSuperGlow", which has an increased daily rate (+26%!!) and increased rates per kWh.  When I rang to explain and complain, I was told that they didn't send the welcome pack, it would have come from the comparison website I had used.  (Can you smell that?)  I have told them to cancel the change and confirm so to me.  I'll take the hit in the short term and change to someone else later, but I wonder if Martin is aware that Avro Energy is underhandedly using his website to garner unsuspecting customers at unadvised higher rates than he would endorse.

There seems to be some sort of ongoing squabble between the CEC and Avro.  Avro was stated to be too new to have much feedback despite having been around for years, and now the CEC doesn't show any results from Avro if you're already with them, so presumably you won't be alerted to any new Avro tariffs that are cheaper.
No idea who's to blame !

I've been with Avro for 5 months now, I originally went with them as a stop gap until something better came along...it didnt really until recently....but the things that did, either didn't do The Warm Home Grant, or had £60 early leaving fees (Avro has none)...I decided to email Avro and ask them if they could put me on a cheaper tariff. After 3 days I got a reply saying they could put me on their Simple and Superfixed tariff (as mentioned by OP)....Comparing this tariff to my Simple and Supersaver tariff saved me £160 a year, according to this sites Energy Club Comparison pages(altho Avro isnt actually one of the providers mentioned when I did the comparison)....So yes please I said, and I was switched the same day.....and tbh...all I've ever had from Avro is a good service, easy to read bills, speedy replies to emails, help with everything I've questioned, and almost the cheapest rate available...within £24 a year of the Energy Club's best price, and imho, a much more reliable service.......So thank you Avro...

If Avro was best for you then get a quote from their web site: https://www.avroenergy.co.uk/ and then you wont risk the switching company ignoring them or showing misleading tariff.
Shows simple and superfixed for me.
