CCJ after 6 years

I had a CCJ which would be 6 years old tomorrow. I have never made any contact with Lowell over last 6 years. What can they do after tomorrow?

They will have to go to court and explain to a judge why enforcement should be allowed and is justified after 6 yrs of doing nothing. It will also drop off your credit file on the 6th year anniversary.

am in similar situ, courts have called me, to say once the CCJ has been issued, the claiment does not need to seek a judge/court approval to start chasing a CCJ 6 or 60 years later, they can just get the warrant, and start issuing extra charges.....

  • but would a warrent be issued after 6 or 60 yrs , no , a judge would ask them why they had not bothered for 6 or 60 yrs

they can however continue to send snotty letters

I believe debts became statute barred there is plenty of information online regarding this.

CCJ's do not become statute barred.  They just become much more difficult to enforce after 6 years and will not appear on your credit file.

I doubt you were phoned by the courts as they will have no interest in the subject. It would have been the DCA chasing their debt hence their claim that they can simply get a warrant/extra charges. All rubbish.
