DCA removing default

Hi, 

My situation is a long story, so if interested please see my other forum post on here.

The stage I'm at now is, the DCA whom brought the debt from the original creditor are removing their default entry on my file, as someone else had accepted liability and cleared the balance.

My question is, how do I go about getting the original creditor to now remove their entry? Seeing as I'm not liable for this.

You'd contact them in the first instance.

However, it depends what you mean by someone else accepting liability.

I have contacted them directly, but they wont confirm or deny of they will remove it or not, until they have heard back from the DCA.

In short, a family member took out the credit agreement in my name without me knowing... they have since confessed and sorted it with the DCA.
