Renewable energy?

What sort of renewable energy are you interested inNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Depends if you're interested in REGO only backed renewables (buy from wholesale but then spends £3 per customer to be renewable) - Outfox, Green, OVO Shell etc.
Some of their renewables come from PPA (Buying directly from generators and giving them a fair price for their electricity while also paying them passthrough benefits from generating) - Bulb, Big 6 companies
All of their renewables come from PPA (Although they're a lot more expensive because of this) - Good Energy, Green Energy UK, Ecotricity.
You then have Octopus Energy... who technically fall under the REGO only category, however they're owned by Octopus Renewables who themselves generate a ton of renewable electricity. - This electricity is sold on to other companies though, so counting it towards Octopus is double counting it.

@UnclaimedEnergy
I've not seen this type of breakdown before and personally find trying to work out the "real" difference between renewable generators really difficult to work out. I am shortly due to move providers as my fixed term deal is ending. I understand that companies like Octopus generate their own power via Octopus Renewables so that seems good, but from a price perspective British Gas and Scottish Power are also similar for me . British Gas seem to be pushing hard to get Air Source heat pumps installed vs gas boilers and Scottish Power are pushing that all the electricity they supply is from their own wind farms - so finding it hard to know who to go with in terms of who is doing the most to generate greener electric but also championing the whole green approach. Grateful for help! Sadly due to cost I cant really afford to go with the likes of Ecotricity - although I am unsure if these smaller companies can really make a big change now as the bigger ones seem to be putting in all the investment?0
