How do I check my card limit with Santander?

I have Santander everyday current account. Does anyone know, how can I check the limit of spending for each transaction? I never had a problem, but I'll be spending a little bit more this time on one purchase of tickets when they go on sale.

If you logon to your Santander cc account, then you can see your credit limit.  It is also printed on all monthly statements.  :)

Or do you mean tracking 'pending transactions'?

  • @Willing2Learn, the OP is asking about a CURRENT account !

The best bet would be to call Santander, however as long as you have funds to cover the purchase in your account it should not be declined.

Unless your tickets are above £10K (made that amount myself) then you should have no issues. Assuming you are talking about a card payment.
Santander will not tell you the daily card limit as I tried to find out.
Just make the payment. If it is declined then ring Santanger. DO NOT KEEP TRYING...

There's probably an algorithm that flags up potentially fraudulent transactions, e.g. large or repeated transfers of funds to payees that have only just been set up.  But for obvious reasons it's unlikely that the details are published.
You'd be better off using a credit card for large purchases: Section 75 protection is stronger than debit card Chargeback.

The question is about a current account as TFC has clocked.
The limit will be the amount of funds in credit, plus any arranged overdraft.
The ticket sale should go through without any problem, assuming there is enough in the account to cover the transaction.
