Tui Luggage

Well thats a lie as TUI just told me it was available online.
In any case, the whole story of luggage not being available on package holidays with TUi on that day only is utterly ludicrous.0 -
I've just checked a TUI package to Portugal using Easyjet - 23kg luggage included as standard.Questions need to be asked, probably at head office management staff level to get to the bottom of the "missing" luggage issue."In any case, the whole story of luggage not being available on package holidays with TUi on that day only is utterly ludicrous"Absolutely - I'm thinking shop staff speak with forked tongue on this one.

I've just done a TUI dummy booking for ex Bristol to ACE on 16/3 (17:50) returning 20/3 exact same flights as you've booked.2 different hotels as yours isn't available. One is B&B platinum, other is AI.Both say 23kg luggage included. The travel agent sounds totally ineffective.Who is it?Have you tried contacting TUI yourselves?But...why on earth didn't the lead passenger chase up the missing confirmation a few days after you made the booking instead of leaving it for 7 months until you were ready to check in?0

Like others, I have never seen this before on a TUI package.
The comment "she called tui 3rd party who said luggage wasn't offered that day!!!! " I think is just BS from someone that clearly had no clue.
You would have had a TUI booking reference given shortly after booking - typically 8 numbers (e.g. 12345678), plus probably an Easyjet reference - six or seven alphanumeric characters (e.g. JTV8MS2). Which reference were you trying one which website? Both need to be treated separately.

Reading the opening message I assumed it was a TUI store for the booking. If so they really are grossly incompetent for not knowing their own Ts&Cs etc. and causing this nonsense, and a "snottergram" should be winging its way to head office senior staff. No excuse for any other travel agency either.0

Hi all, I took all the good advice you gave, went to the store where I booked and sat down with the manager ( here goes the lame reason), she said she thought all packages had luggage included as all the ones they are selling have, BUT and here's the excuse.. They didn't have the contract with easy jet back in August when I booked it was with another airline but she don't know who with, now they have a contract with easy jet, meaning they basically have a contract for 50 seats for tui customers on each plane, and the new contract includes luggage, I was on the old contract, she rang head office while I was there, who actually confirmed no confirmation email was sent to us showing allowence and full holiday details and all was given was the fast track paperwork instore and apologised they hadn't sent it out in August (she printed it off today) but they won't add luggage as per their policy in August, I pointed out its clearly their error then which they have said I should have checked the details!!!! (the details they DIDN'T send me), but I can write a letter to head office to tell them I'm not happy, although nothing will be done about it but at least they will know, the store manager said when I next book from them in their store she will try and sort a discount.... Unbelievable0

This was in a TUI store ?If TUI didn't have a contract with Easyjet in August, how could they sell you a package indicating them as the carrier at that time ?Claiming they had a contract with another airline, but don't know who ? They are having a mega laugh - a child could see through this nonsense. They "forgot" to email you - that's not an explanation accepted in business - they FAILED to notify you is the correct version, for which they are liable.I wouldn't just be contacting head office - I'd be copying in ABTA and the local press etc.Based on what you've said, maybe one of those No Fee No Win ambulance chaser legal outfits would be willing to take up the case - you've nothing to lose I reckon ?0
