I have a pre planned trip to Lombardia (Bergamo & Tirano) booked for this week. In the light of the recent "lockdown", and the FCO's advice against all but essential travel, I very much doubt that the trip will go ahead.
However I've received no notification from Ryanair, who I've booked my flights with, nor from my hotels to confirm that they are still open and accepting guests.
In any case as the raison d'etre for the trip - to travel on the Bernina Express in Switzerland - is now impossible due to the restrictions at the border.
I have travel insurance so I know that I could ultimately claim on that but you would expect clear instructions would be given to the airline to refuse passengers without an authorised reason to travel.
Any tips & advice would be helpful.

I don't know what sort of tips you might expect because we are in uncharted territory. The only advice that applies is to sit tight, see how things unfold in the next few days and then decide whether to go down the insurance route. I suspect that with elements of the trip booked separately, you may have some problems.0

Have you checked the flight status on RA's website ?Connel_Viaduct said:I have a pre planned trip to Lombardia (Bergamo & Tirano) booked for this week. In the light of the recent "lockdown", and the FCO's advice against all but essential travel, I very much doubt that the trip will go ahead.
