Just found out that nationwide travel insurance has moved the goalpost. Previously there was no charge for high blood pressure but now they want £100 for cover rendering it useless as I can get cheaper through a broker.

Nationwide's FlexDirect account has no insurance provision, but their FlexPlus does, and they notified account holders of changes to their terms when introduced last year: https://www.nationwide.co.uk/-/media/MainSite/documents/products/current-accounts/flexplus/P3767-flexplus-features-and-insurance-Summary-of-changes.pdf
They'd be foolish to claim that the travel insurance component bundled within the range of account benefits for £13 a month will always be better value than dedicated policies, so they don't, and hence it's always best to shop around....4
