boiler advice

Hi,
I am hoping that some one can give me some advice…
I have just taken what feels like monstrous step and bought my own
Flat, my survey noted that my heating system is quite old.
Its in a flat in a tenement block that’s around 100 years old, there are 2 boilers a hot water one in the kitchen in a cupboard built into the wall and a cold one which has been put in the bathroom( It is on the ceiling of the bathroom and has been boxed in. there is also a box thing which kind of looks like a combi boiler box in the kitchen fitted into the kitchen units where I can change the settings.
My questions are, what type of boiler system is it, can I get a combi boiler instead and if so can I remove both the hot and cold boilers (giving me back some ceiling height in the bathroom), the hot boiler is placed beside the window against an external wall.
And most importantly how much roughly should this cost to remove the current system and replace with a new one.
The pressure in the shower is not very good; would this improve with a new boiler?
And would I have to change the radiators 2?
Also ( sorry I know all questions!) but should I just wait until the boiler packs in or will it be cheaper in the long run to just replace the boiler with a more efficient one?
Any advice, hints, tips would be so useful, because I haven’t a clue and any1 I know has no idea about this sort of thing??
Thanks in advance…

I would suggest that as your system appears confusing......it would be simplest to get a Corgi registered engineer round to provide a quote for a new system (or maybe to start with a service on the current system!!). When he is there you can pump him for info about how it all works and what is what.
Doubt anyone can give you any great insight without seeing the layout in person0 -

I'm sorry but this makes very little sense.!
If you could post photos that would be ideal. Otherwise any make/model info would help.
